Meet Cindy's Collectibles: "The Hubby"

I sent my husband Richard to go picking for my company, Cindy's Collectibles. These were his instructions. The item(s) you purchase/pick for my store Must be:

  1. Vintage (like 20 years or older)
  2. Collectible (people will want it)
  3. Makes Me Money!

Soooo this is the picture/text I get back from the estate sale ...

Mission Accomplished Honey!!!

8-) .. Cindy's Collectibles is a family business and I rely on my two sons and in particular my husband to help me with All the tasks an Online Sales store attends to in order to be successful.

Mother's Day
In all honesty Richard is a very good picker. I think he watches History Channel 24 x 7 and the Pawn Stars & American Picker guys are kinda his heroes. "The Hubby" does quite a bit for my company. In addition to some picking  he helps me with accounting, customer service, technology support, & sales.

Photographer
He's my best photographer, creates and approves listings and does all the training for Cindy's Collectibles. And o
Collateral
n occasion, when sellers are stubborn about holding items I want to purchase, I will leave them my husband as collateral for the items I want ... so he has both utilitarian and intrinsic value!

Birthday Dinner
He's MY  Lobster ... And I couldn't do it without him so I thought it would be nice to introduce my customers and clients to the people who make Cindy's Collectibles special.

Before Mother’s Day … It's Tea Time!

Tea Sets are a big part of what I sell at Cindy’s Collectibles. In fact, the logo for this company is a smiling tea pot that was designed by my oldest son who also works for me part time.

I love tea pots / tea sets and started this company selling all types of collectibles including tea sets made of silver, silverplate, fine china, and even little mini tea sets. The makers of these sets were as diverse as the sets themselves and represented the best craftsmanship from all over the world.

Now, as we move out of an unseasonably cold winter into spring it’s that time of year invitations for all the wonderful tea parties that occur every spring (followed by Weddings) will arrive. Many will take place with a bridal or baby shower and I attended one several years ago for my cousin’s baby shower at a stylish tea house known as the Rose Tree Cottage in Pasadena, California. It’s always fun to spend the day with the girls but every once in a while I enjoy the elegance and formality of the tea party and most of all I appreciate the beautiful fine china that adjourns a well-appointed table.

Royal Albert Old Country Rose
Made in England by Royal Albert, Old Country Roses is without a doubt my favorite china pattern, it always will be (if you click that link you will see it is also a funny story). But Royal Albert makes several other delightful patterns as well. There are numerous makers of German China most notably Bavaria and Princess House as well as Royal Noritake from Japan. One of the most unique, yet stylish tea sets was made in Holland that turned out to have a musical tea pot as the centerpiece and made a little girl’s tea party / birthday a delightful event according to the feedback we received from our customer.

For anyone hosting a child’s tea party you may want to take a look at one of my mini tea sets, I have several different styles available, and for certain items I have multiple quantities. There is even one mini-set made by Hummel!

I Sold It On ... Cindy's Collectibles!

Cynthia Sharp started her company 3 years ago. She is the owner-operator of an Online Consignment store called Cindy’s Collectibles. In this day and age, just about everything can be considered a “Collectible”. Cindy can and will sell just about anything.
She started by going to Estate Sales, Auction Houses and even yard or garage sales to acquire the products she brings to her customers. Cindy then expanded her business to sell for other people (clients) and began selling for family members & close personal friends. Due to the high quality service she provides word spread quickly and now Cindy’s Collectibles is selling all types of products for clients via the online marketplace.

Cindy works hard, she works hard for herself, her clients and her customers. Online sales requires knowledge, attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and good old fashioned elbow grease and Cindy’s Collectibles brings an abundance of those qualities to the table for each and every transaction that takes place at her company.

So How Does It Work?

It starts with the Client. Cindy will meet with you* and evaluate your item(s) to sell in the Online marketplace and then review the fee structure for Cindy’s Collectibles**. There is a short contract and If the terms are acceptable to all, Cindy’s Collectibles will take care of the rest. It’s that simple.

Cindy’s Collectibles will take possession of the item, photograph it, write professional copy with a personalized sales template, list the item in the appropriate online sales space (ebay, craigslist or local web exchanges for example) and handle all customer service for the transaction.
Once the item sells, we package and ship the item to the customer and provide the client (you) with a final sales invoice and a check for the proceeds of the sale. Some of our clients have now been selling with us for over a year and continue to bring merchandise from their garages, attics and storage spaces.

If you'd like to shop at Cindy's Collectibles please visit us at one of our Online locations using the following link: Cindys Collectibles on EBAY

And if you have an item(s) you are interested in selling via the Online space and would like to know more about the service Cindy provides at Cindy's Collectibles please contact her via this article or through any or her Online stores... or look her up on Facebook.
